Wanderlove
The story follows Bria Sandoval, an 18-year-old girl who has just graduated from high school but feels completely lost. Her confidence is shattered after a painful breakup with her ex-boyfriend, who constantly criticized her, stifled her independence, and ultimately caused her to give up her greatest passion: drawing.
Desperate to escape her grief and reinvent herself, Bria signs up for a tightly packaged, highly commercialized "Global Elite" tour through Central America. She expects to find enlightenment, but instead finds herself trapped on a sterile tour bus full of retirees, completely disconnected from the local culture.
Everything changes when Bria encounters Rowan and his fiercely independent sister, Starling. Rowan is a seasoned, off-the-beaten-path backpacker who travels with nothing but a notebook and a raw sense of curiosity. He views Bria’s commercial tour as an insult to real travel.
Drawn to their free-spirited energy and desperate for a real adventure, Bria makes a impulsive decision: she ditches her tour group and joins Rowan and Starling on a wild, unstructured backpacking journey across the rugged landscapes of Guatemala and Belize. As they dive into local cultures, swim in hidden lagoons, navigate chicken buses, and camp under the stars, Rowan challenges Bria to pull out her sketchbook again. Along the way, the thin line between companionship and romance begins to blur, forcing Bria to confront her past mistakes and decide what kind of future she truly wants to draw for herself.
