DILAN #2 dia adalah dilanku tahun 1991
The story picks up right where the first book left off, officially capturing the romance of Dilan and Milea after they formalize their relationship on a sheet of paper with a stamp in Bandung, 1990.
Now in 1991, the honeymoon phase quickly faces reality. While Dilan remains the same sweet, humorously poetic, and fiercely protective boyfriend, his position as a high-ranking member of a notorious Bandung motorcycle gang (geng motor) becomes a major source of conflict. Following the tragic death of his close friend, Akew, the street violence escalates, leading Dilan into dangerous brawls and even a brief stint in jail.
Terrified of losing him, Milea delivers a desperate ultimatum: Dilan must choose between his motorcycle gang or their relationship. Despite his deep love for Milea, Dilan’s fierce loyalty to his friends and his rebellious nature make it impossible for him to just walk away from the streets.
The tension cracks their relationship open, introducing misunderstandings, jealousy from new faces (like Yugo, Milea's relative from Belgium), and a deeply painful emotional distance. Through Milea's older, reflective voice, the novel captures the bittersweet realization that sometimes, love alone isn't enough to make two people stay together.
