Christ The Lord out of Egypt
The story begins in Alexandria, Egypt, where a young Jesus (called Yeshu'a) lives with his mother Mary, his earthly father Joseph, and a large, protective extended family of uncles, aunts, and cousins. They are part of a thriving community of Jewish artisans who fled Israel years prior to escape the murderous tyranny of King Herod the Great.
At seven years old, Jesus is an observant, highly intelligent boy, but he is fundamentally a child. He experiences the world with an innocent sense of wonder and possesses a deep, natural urge to pray. However, he is also beginning to notice that he is profoundly different from other children. He possesses terrifying, confusing supernatural abilities that he does not yet fully understand—such as accidentally striking a bully dead with a word, and then immediately restoring the boy to life, or turning birds made of clay into living creatures that fly away.
