EHIPASSIKO Pendidikan Agama Buddha dan Budi Pekerti Fase D SMP 7 Kurikulum Merdeka
EHIPASSIKO is a Buddhist Religious Education and Character Development textbook for Grade 7 Junior High School students in Phase D, developed in accordance with Indonesia’s Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka). The title reflects the Buddhist principle Ehipassiko, meaning “come and see,” inviting students to explore the Buddha’s teachings through understanding, personal experience, reflection, and practice.
The book introduces students to fundamental Buddhist teachings while encouraging the development of positive character and mindful living. Through Buddhist scriptures, stories, reflection, discussion, learning activities, and practical exercises, students are encouraged to understand the values of wisdom, compassion, mindfulness, morality, self-discipline, and respect for all living beings.
Rather than encouraging students to accept teachings passively, EHIPASSIKO promotes learning through inquiry and personal discovery. Students are guided to connect Buddhist teachings with their everyday experiences, relationships, challenges, and responsibilities at home, school, and in society.
Ultimately, EHIPASSIKO seeks to nurture young Buddhists who are thoughtful, compassionate, responsible, and capable of applying the Dhamma in daily life. It encourages students to develop wisdom through learning, reflection, and practice while becoming positive contributors to their families, communities, and wider society.
