EHIPASSIKO Pendidikan Agama Buddha dan Budi Pekerti Fase D SMP 9 Kurikulum Merdeka
EHIPASSIKO is a Buddhist Religious Education and Character Development textbook for Grade 9 Junior High School students in Phase D, developed in accordance with Indonesia’s Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka). Inspired by the Buddhist principle Ehipassiko, meaning “come and see,” the book encourages students to engage with the Buddha’s teachings through inquiry, reflection, personal experience, and practice.
Building on the knowledge and skills developed in previous grades, the book guides students toward a deeper understanding of the Dhamma and its relevance to their personal and social lives. Through Buddhist teachings, stories, reflection, discussion, inquiry-based activities, and practical exercises, students are encouraged to cultivate wisdom, mindfulness, compassion, ethical conduct, self-awareness, and responsibility.
The book also invites students to reflect critically on their thoughts, emotions, choices, relationships, and actions. Buddhist principles are connected with real-life situations, helping students develop the ability to respond to challenges with calmness, understanding, compassion, and wise judgment.
Ultimately, EHIPASSIKO seeks to prepare young Buddhists to continue their spiritual and personal growth with confidence and awareness. It encourages students not merely to learn the Dhamma intellectually, but to experience and practice it in everyday life, becoming individuals who contribute positively to their families, communities, and society. ::
