Cambridge Primary International English 4 Activity Book
In Stage 4, students are expected to move past basic sentence construction into writing complex sentences, organizing paragraphs, and analyzing an author's choice of words. The Activity Book supports this transition through a carefully scaffolded approach:
Differentiated Practice: Each unit contains exercises that gradually increase in complexity—moving from Focus (identifying and matching), to Practice (applying rules to sentences), and finally to Challenge (independent writing and textual analysis).
Contextual Grammar: Grammar and punctuation are never practiced in a vacuum. Instead, activities directly mimic the literary genres (mysteries, reports, or poems) that students read in the main textbook.
Independent Writing Frames: The book provides clear graphic organizers, mind maps, and paragraph frames that give EAL learners the structure they need to write confidently on their own.
