The Knight's Night
The story is narrated by Sabian Krishadinata (affectionately known as Bian). To the outside world, Bian appears to have his life entirely together as he transforms from a regular schoolboy into a thoughtful, handsome young man. However, beneath his calm exterior, Bian spends a lot of his time sitting, thinking, and brooding over the direction of his life, feeling an underlying sense of emptiness and uncertainty about his future.
Bian's relatively quiet world is turned upside down by unexpected emotional drama and sharp narrative twists. As he attempts to pursue his own version of true happiness, he gets caught up in a web of social intrigue, high school politics, and misunderstandings.
The story takes readers on an emotional roller coaster as Bian tries to protect the people he cares about while keeping his own heart intact. The central conflict forces him to step up and act like a protective "knight" for the girl he loves, even when his own life is messy and full of doubt. The backdrop shifts beautifully, including an important and highly scenic journey to Bali that alters the course of the characters' relationships.
