Nasi Uduk Nekat
In the bustling streets of South Bekasi, Nasi Uduk Nekat is more than just a roadside food stall—it is an institution. Run by the formidable yet kind-hearted Nek Ati, the stall is famous for its fragrant, coconut-infused rice and a secret spicy sambal that locals claim can cure a broken heart.
The story follows Fajar, a young man who has recently returned to his hometown after failing to launch his career in the big city. Feeling like a complete failure, he finds himself spending every morning at Nek Ati’s stall, seeking comfort in her warm food and blunt, life-altering advice. When Nek Ati suddenly falls ill and faces the risk of losing her stall to a greedy land developer, Fajar realizes he has to step up.
Determined to save the legacy of Nasi Uduk Nekat, Fajar rallies a mismatched group of regulars—a retired teacher, a cynical street musician, and a high-school student—to help modernize the stall without losing its soul. The story tracks their chaotic, humorous, and heartfelt efforts to organize a "Save the Stall" campaign, blending the aroma of traditional spices with the modern hustle of social media marketing.
Nasi Uduk Nekat is a celebration of community, resilience, and the idea that sometimes, finding the courage to start over is as simple as finding the right place to sit down, have a plate of rice, and rediscover who you are.
