A Midsummer Night's Dream
The plot unfolds in the enchanted woods near Athens and centers on four young lovers—Hermia, Lysander, Helena, and Demetrius—who flee the city to escape a forced marriage.
Once in the forest, they become pawns in a quarrel between Oberon, the King of the Fairies, and Titania, the Queen of the Fairies. Oberon instructs his mischievous servant, Puck, to use a magical flower whose juice can make anyone fall in love with the first creature they see upon waking. Chaos follows as the lovers fall in and out of love, while a group of amateur actors—including the unforgettable Bottom the Weaver—arrive in the woods to rehearse a play, only for Bottom to be magically transformed with an ass's head. By the end of the night, the spells are broken, order is restored, and the lovers are united in a happy, if slightly confused, resolution.
